Ask the big question with a page built just for them
Whether you're proposing in person, over a video call, or just confessing feelings for the first time, a private page can carry the words you'll forget when you're nervous.
Proposals in India range from a ring in a dessert at a rooftop café to a nervous 'can I tell you something?' text at 1 AM. Either way, the hardest part is saying what you feel without your voice shaking. A surprise page lets you write it down calmly, add the photos that tell your story, and let them read it at their own pace.
Our dedicated proposal template, Will You…?, is coming soon. Until then, Open When… makes a sweet proposal: a few sealed envelopes that build up your story, with the last one holding the question. Add a 4-digit code so it stays between the two of you.
They can write their answer in the reply box at the end, which only you will see. Preview everything first, and pay only when it feels right.
Ideas to put in it
- Build up in envelopes: 'the day I noticed you', 'the day I knew', 'the question'.
- Use the QR code: print it on a small card and hand it over with the ring box.
- Play it on your phone together on a quiet terrace instead of reading it alone.
- Use the date you first met as the unlock code.
- Keep the last line simple. 'Will you marry me?' does not need decoration.
- If it's a first confession, give them an easy out in the letter. Kindness matters more than a yes.
Questions
Is there a proposal template?
Yes — Will You…? is built for it: your memories light up as stars into a constellation, they hold a glowing heart to reveal the question, and the No button runs away. Their answer comes straight back to you.
Can I see their answer?
Yes. The recipient can write a reply at the end of the gift, and you see it from your gift page.
Can I make sure no one else opens it first?
Add a 4-digit unlock code that only they would know, and the page won't open without it.
